Sendh Lake & Shashtri Market Cleanups
Riders, students, and shopkeepers, three hours at a time
Where it started
Lakes and market streets accumulate waste faster than they're ever formally cleaned, and it takes organised, well-resourced volunteer power - not just goodwill - to make a visible dent in a single morning.
What Nature Bodies did
Nature Bodies has run more than ten cleanup drives over the last five years; two from 2022 stand out for scale and partnership. At Sendh Lake in Naya Raipur, the team worked with Earth Day Network and Royal Enfield's Eicher Group Foundation to bring together 35 Royal Enfield riders alongside students and the public - 108 participants in total - for a focused three-hour cleanup from 7 to 10am.
On World Environment Day, 3 June 2022, a second drive covered Shashtri Market in Raipur, again over three hours, clearing waste directly from one of the city's busiest commercial streets.
